Our Favorite Holiday Traditions? #ChosenByKids

This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Wal Mart and Serve I will be compensated for this post but all opinions are 100 percent my own.
HERMÉS, LOUIS VUITTON, HALF OFF…OH, MY!
It's that time of year, let the lights go up and the carolers sing! It's Christmas! Here at Free For All we have so many fun holiday traditions we wanted to take this time to share some with you. Of course, we put up a tree, decorate and buy the kids tons of gifts; but I want to talk about traditions we do that are a little different.

Our first tradition started when we had Christian he was an October baby and everyone by Christmas was asking for pictures. I was always big on sending really pretty Christmas cards to our friends and family and I thought how great would it be to add a picture of Christian. This tradition continued with each child; it costs very little just cards and postage. We take the pictures our self and believe me they are not perfect. It is so hard to get 3 kids together and keep them all happy and smiling that it isn't even funny. The family has come to expect a Christmas picture of the kids in their card and since we have a lot of family out of state it is one of the things our far away family looks forward too. In this years picture Christian is asleep but it was the best I could do with 3 and a new baby. It isn't about taking a great perfect picture but about the family having that picture for a keepsake.

Another tradition we started when I began blogging is what I like to call the 12 days of Christmas. With all the wonderful companies who allow us to try their products we have quite a few toys to try and review before Christmas so we allow the kids one toy or book each a day leading up to Christmas. I just saw the kids getting so much at Christmas and it being tossed and thrown to the side. When they open one gift at a time they really appreciate it.

The last tradition we love is making candy and cookies. Me and the kids love sweets and it is so fun and we really enjoy baking and creating new treats. The neighbors look forward to seeing the kids come because they know we have fudge, rice krispie treats or something equally yummy We never forget Santa he always has his cookies the night before Christmas as well.

This year Wal Mart wants to help you get into the holiday spirit. Several Wal Mart stores across the US will be hosting in store events that highlight all of the great toys that were actually #chosenbykids to be the best!. Your child can be an official toy tester at these in store events. Find out what toys are perfect for your child and what they love by letting them test them out. 10. For the last few years I've been struggling with the children throwing their gifts to the side. I'm not sure if its because I'm getting older and appreciating life a little more or because it feels like a waste of money, but I love your idea to give your children a gift each evening.
