So, this year I wanted Christian's birthday to go off without any issues and be absolutely perfect! Shindigz made the party amazing as usual! I have had readers and parents from my sons class ask me time and time again how we make such great treat boxes! Well, it is that time of year again; Christian's 6th Birthday. This year h wanted an Angry Birds theme. I wanted to throw the entire party for under $100.  Impossible you say. Easy just start with Shindigz. I got everything we needed for $75 and Christian's cake was $14.99 leaving us $9 for pop, chips and extra candy to place in our treat bags and piñata.

This year with Christian getting older he had some requests that were different than mom was used to. He wanted the kids in his class to come to his party but they are all very young (Kindergarten age). He was worried they wouldn't know who the invitation was from. Shindigz had him covered! We found some amazing personalized invitations and party supplies. We purchased plates and invites that had his name and picture on them. I loved the Blast Off space personalized decorations (pictured below is the site picture and our actual plates) so we could easily coordinate with his Angry Birds Space birthday party theme. The kids all look forward to the pinatas at our parties. It is something my kids are known for and the little ones have come to expect and look forward to. This time Shindigz had the perfect Pinata the Green Pig from Angry Birds. The piñata is our one big splurge it takes the place of games and the kids get a big kick out of it so I think it is worth the $19.99. We generally fill it with a pack of mixed favors and a pack of mixed candy which costs approximately another 10 dollars.

Another thing the kids really love are the treat bags. The boys love making them and love giving them out t their friends. I think this is where people often spend a lot of unnecessary money. We can make treat bags/boxes for 15-20 dollars for up to 24 kids. I do them for Christian's class for Easter, Christmas all the holidays. This time we splurged though since we were only making 12 boxes. We purchased dino dig kits for each of the kids. It is a great activity for them; they love digging for the dinos and it gives them a little trinket to take home. They have their own excavated dino skeleton. We also added play dough and lots of candy. It was such a great party and the kids loved it!
