My kids are huge fans of outer space; like most little boys they love space ships, astronauts and the planets. I have been looking for unique ways to teach them at home so they are a step ahead in school. The Space Scouts subscription box is such a great teaching tool; whether you homeschool or are just looking to educate your children through learning play Space Scouts is what you need. My sons didn't even realize they were learning they just loved all the activities. To get started with your Space Scouts subscription go to http://www.atcssc.com/space-scouts.html

Begin the adventure with the Space Scouts lunchbox to use as a backdrop and storage for the monthly magnet collection, the Space Scouts solar system poster to map and mark with the monthly exploration sticker, and the Space Scouts constellation card startup kit to hold the monthly constellation card collection.
Each monthly packet will include a Space Scouts exploration plan describing the place to be scouted, a Space Scouts magnet to add to the Space Scouts lunchbox, a Space Scouts sticker to add to the Space Scouts solar system poster, a Space Scouts activity sheet loaded with puzzles, games, and activities, a Space Scouts sticker scramble (unscramble the numbered stickers to reveal a surprise!), a Space Scouts souvenir toy to use in learning activities, a Space Scouts constellation card, and a Space Scouts constellation activity sheet that includes the mythological stories and other learning activities to help your child identify the constellation in the night sky.

Our favorite parts of the Space Scouts kit were the astronauts (2 included), WiKi Stix Project, Solar System Poster and the sticker puzzles. The picture above is an example of the introductory one month subscription. The Solar System poster is currently hanging in the boys room and we practice learning the planets all the time. I don't force it on them I just mention I and I remember because its right there on the wall! The sticker puzzles are space scenes that the kids construct either by themselves or with parents help (depending on age) and they are stickers that actually stick together to make a puzzle. The Wiki Stix project was the most fun for me and the kids; of course little ones love anything they can touch, feel, and mold. I love the Wiki Stix project because they were engaged and learning the whole time and actually remember all f the concepts we learned. The best thing about Space Scouts is that it isn't a struggle to get our kids to learn they really love and enjoy it because the materials are designed perfect for children. With the 2 astronaut figures we received we discussed the first space landing on the moon because one of the figures was holding a flag. With Space Scouts you can really do a much or as little as you want as far as teaching your children is concerned. If you want just a fun activity to do with the kids Space Scouts is great and if you are a homeschooling family and want a detailed lesson on Space and the Solar System you can easily do that with your Space Scouts Subscription. I would recommend Space Scouts to anyone who has children it is the perfect gift or if you are a grandparent it would make an excellent Christmas or Birthday Gift that your loved one could receive multiple times or just once your choice.
