The Boxcar Children
About the movie:
Four orphaned and homeless siblings happen upon an abandoned boxcar, which with a little creativity and hard work, they gradually furnish with all the comforts of home.
Fearful that they will be sent to live with the reputedly cruel grandfather they have never met, the children keep their new home a secret - until a serious illness forces them to reveal themselves in order to save young Violet.
Featuring an all-star cast of voice actors, including Academy Award Nominee Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now), J.K. Simmons (Spiderman), Zach Gordon (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Joey King (Fargo), Mackenzie Foy (Twilight series), and Jadon Sand (LEGO: The Movie), this is the very first full-length, animated feature adaptation of Gertrude Chandler Warner's best-selling classic!

#TheBoxCarChildren
My boys loved The Boxcar Children and honestly I did too. It is a really cute at times sad story of four orphaned children hiding out in a box car from the world. My kids really liked the bonus feature we read the EBOOK and Christian and Gavin liked exploring the map. We played a little game where I asked them questions and let them point out where certain scenes took place from the story. This was a really great lesson as we just found out that this year in Kindergarten (yes Kindergarten) Christian will have to be able to identify the plot of a story, characters, development and more. I am definitely not a teacher but I hope doing little activities like this at home helps him. I liked that The Boxcar Children reminded me of movies I watched as a child it isn't crazy with wild graphics it is just a really nice kids movie.
