I don't know how many of you have heard me talk about Gavin's breathing problems but Gavin is my 3 year old he has a lot of trouble breathing of a night. During the day he rarely has any attacks but in a typical week he can have upwards of 3 or more. I refuse to put my son on any medications that he doesn't have to be on we treat his breathing trouble using humidifiers. Honestly I feel like Gavin has asthma and the doctors have
never took the time to properly diagnose him they throw inhalers and steroids at him but never run any tests. That is when we began using humidifiers and vaporizers. I have used 3 brands of humidifier prior to using Crane. I was unhappy and dissatisfied with the results I saw from any of them. I was so happy when Crane USA agreed to let us test and review one of their humidifiers. I chose the All Aboard Adorable Humidifier because Gavin loves trains and his room is decorated in trains. I loved that Crane had so many styles to choose from; you can see all of their humidifiers here. The All Aboard Humidifier we chose is pictured below.CRANE TRAIN COOL MIST HUMIDIFIER

Did you know that the FDA even recommends against giving over the counter cold and flu medications to children under 6 due to the risk of over dose. The American Academy of pediatrics recommends humidifiers, nasal mists and nasal aspirators to treat cold and flu symptoms in children. Humidifiers help with so many different things; loosening nasal congestion, easing dry coughs, moistening chapped lips, soothing itchy and dry skin and preventing nose bleeds. If you are breast feeding you may especially want to consider purchasing an humidifier because its very important a breastfeeding baby have clear nasal passages. Clearing nasal passages is one of the biggest benefits you will see from a humidifier. We are so blessed to have our Crane humidifier!

What a really cute way to put humidity into your sons room. This is so much nicer looking than the big ugly thing I have sitting my bedroom. Very unique.
ReplyDeleteI have a whole lot of allergies and my nose stuffs up then travels down my throat which causes the coughing which I do periodically. I have never actually tried a humidifier although I probably should-I do carry an inhaler around just in case but use it very sporadically--I agree I prefer not taking any meds if I can help it and I am an adult! I am glad to hear that the humidifier seems to be working with your son--so much safer then meds!!
ReplyDeleteTheyre all adorable and the DIY are cool too but I like the train
