What better combination than Purex and Make A Wish; we probably all have heard of both but let me give you some background on the Make A Wish program! The Make A wish program grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical issues to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy. Kids have said that their wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness and parents say their Make A Wish experience helps strengthen the entire family. Make A Wish is based in Phoenix and is one of the worlds leading charities. Make A wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes. How is this possible? With the help of generous sponsors and donors like Purex and over 25,000 volunteers. They have granted 226,000 wishes since they began in 1980; in 2013 alone they granted 14,000 wishes.
How is Purex helping Make A Wish and how can we help to? Read all of the details here on Purex. Purex is teaming up with Make A Wish; 5 cents per bottle for the first 4 million bottles of 75+ oz liquid detergent sold between Feb. 1st and Feb.28th and 10 cents for every bottle above 4 million with a minimum guarantee of $200,000 and a maximum of up to $300,000 will be donated to Make A Wish! And if you are a fabric softener purchaser (you guys know I can't live without mine) Purex will pay 8 cents a bottle to Make A Wish for the first 620,000 bottles of Classic and Ultra Lines in Mountain Breeze and Sweet Lavender fabric softeners sold between the same dates and once again will increase their payment to 10 cents for every bottle above 620,000 with a minimum guarantee of 50,000 and a maximum of $100,000. That is a minimum of $250,000 and a maximum (with our purchasing help) of $300,00. How many wishes could that grant? I would imagine quite a few! We can help by stocking up on Purex. Laundry detergent has a long shelf life so why not buy an extra bottle in February and help Make A Wish and Purex make it to $300,000.
This touches my heart as I have a friends child who has Kabuki. They constantly struggle with doctors appointments blood work and the worry of whether or not their child will be OK. They are such strong united parents but think what a difference a granted wish for a child could make. It can be something as small as a favorite toy or something as big as a family vacation. I am going to be sure to let them know to apply to Make A Wish and maybe their child's dream can come true! I have always been a Purex user!
