Gourmet Nut was lovely enough to allow me to review a wonderful variety basket of their amazing product selection. Everything Gourmet Nut offers is of the highest quality. I have always loved different salt so when I got the giant selection of Gourmet Sea Salts to try I was very excited. I have to say I have used almost every drop of all of the different salts. My favorite 2 salts were the Sel Gris French Sea Salt and the Alaea Hawaiian Sea Salt. The Sel Gris French Sea Salt is a moist salt great for soups, breads and sauces because the moist salt dissolves so evenly and quickly. The taste is so unique and the health benefits are a great added plus. Sea Salts contain over 80 minerals that are stripped from regular salt. These minerals are essential to the body and after witching from Sea Salt to table salt I noticed I was a lot less bloated; a great plus for me since my pregnancy is already causing significant bloating. The Alaea Hawaiin Sea Salt was a harder dry salt. It grinded perfectly and made an amazing garnish because of its red appearance. The red color comes from a small amount of clay called Alaea which is high in iron-oxide and enriches the salt sealing in moisture while roasting.
Next we tried the trail mix. I loved the Natures Mix and Chris loved the Cajun Hot Mix. Gourmet Nut has the perfect fruits in their trail mix; large chunks of pineapple picked at the peak of tasty freshness. I was very impressed and would recommend anyone try Gourmet Nut. Gourmet Nut would make great Mother's Day gift! I really would love to let the kids try some of their amazing candy tubs they bring back childhood tasty memories.
